Vibrations..

Post by daxman »

Hi All

Been using the 250 to potter about locally and clocked up 150 miles in the past few weeks, but I've noticed its quite 'vibey'. My last 2T twin was an RS200 Yamaha (like an RD but single carb..) in the early 80s but I don't recall this level of vibe (that bike was nearly new of course..) . Obviously there an no rubber engine mounts which won't help and I've tightened up what we have but is this fairly normal ?

The twins do tingle a bit through the bars and footrests. They don't have the smoothness of the triples.
1976 GT380 - wounded by me, and sold on
2006 SV650S - killed by a patch of diesel and a kerb in Feb 2019
2017 SV650 AL7 - naked and unashamed

Thanks Craig I guess the past 45 years of wear and tear won't have helped either..
