T250 No Spark, Left Side
Went to start my 71 T250 and discovered I am getting no spark to the left plug is not firing. I am getting power to the coil. I am getting power to the condenser, I am getting power through the wire from the condenser to the points... just as long as don't have the wired attached to the left side points. As soon as I attach the wire to the points, I get no power reading at the condenser and wire. Is there possibly something wrong with the points on that side? The points open and close normally, when I spin the engine.

Foolish answer on my part, but I've been bit in the butt doing foolish things in the past.
Be sure that you have the wire attached correctly to the points, and the insulators are all there, and in good condition. The arm that moves needs to be electrically insulated from the base (the part that is screwed to the ignition plate.
There is a good picture that has been posted here a few times in the past, but can't seem to find it at the moment.

Here is the pic.
There is another insulator that you can’t see — it covers the screw threads.

Fixed it. Cleaned the points.Cleaned the fork terminal that goes on the points and she runs fine.
