Last weekend I took my 73 GT750 for a ride, after 40 miles of highway, I pulled up to a traffic light and could tell something wasn't right, it felt like I was down a cylinder,I pulled the plugs to check for spark,I had spark and fuel to all 3, so I nursed it back home.
Today I was checking compression when I bumped the right throttle cable and realized the cap had unscrewed off the carb. advancing the throttle on that cylinder.I haven't had that cap off for a couple of years, but somehow it worked itself off.
I did recently put pods on temporary, because I cant keep the air boot from sliding off the carbs.
thats a new one for me

Re: thats a new one for me
That does happen - just another 'pre-flight' check to add to the list for next time eh ?
