t500 oem parts

Post by stampee »

Hello again everyone. Where do people get oem parts from? I need crank oil seals. I am advised from another post the ebay ones cant be trusted. I have searched on google and find dozens of companies, but some dont list the t500 and others only have the left and center crank seals but not the right hand seal.
I also wanted piston rings in std size, but I have an OEM left piston and a wiseco right piston. I changed the right piston 30 some odd years ago. I havent had much luck searching for those either. I find plenty of oversize items in odd oversizes, but do not find std size rings.
Thank you
I am unemployed and dont have alot of money to be throwing around on new pistons or rebores etc.

You have a few questions in your post. I'll try to address some of them.

Unfortunately, there isn't any "One stop has it all" place out there (easy look up of parts, lowest prices in town, have everything I need, and easy to work with). But don't let that get you down. It ain't as hard as it sounds.

The good news is that most any Suzuki dealer can order you the parts you need, as they all come from the same warehouse(s). Just that most of your local dealers won't/don't want to deal with looking up the numbers, when you tell them it is a 1970's 2-stroker. So the first two things you need are a parts book, and Google.

Here's a parts book. It is for bikes thru 1971, and some of these parts have been superseded by newer part numbers. So I always punch in the part number from the book into Google, and see what pops up.

For online parts dealers, Dillon Bros and Partzilla usually have pretty accurate availability, and decent procing. Don't get fooled by some other places (Hey! There's a dealer in Wisconsin that has that NLA part!) that show parts in stock, when other places don't show it. Been down that path before. But those dealers are good por online parts fiches, such as this:

For that one crank seal that's NLA, I saw that it was available at Archway (in the USA).

There are other sources for stuff when you can't find it from the dealer: Paul Miller in the USA, Discount Bike Spares and Crooks Suzuki in the UK, Classic Suzuki Parts in the Neatherlands, and more.

The standard size OEM piston rings should be available. Wouldn't know where to send you to look or one for the Wiseco - I'd probably start by contacted them for info/advice.

Good luck!
