I've been looking through a few Suzuki forums over the past couple days an cant seem to find a thread that persists to my particular situation, so hers a ne one.
so ive been messing with this bike for a few days and cant seem to get a spark.
the ignition has been cut and wired into a toggle switch, the keys were lost.
its got a new battery in it and the wiring harness seems to be pretty clean.
all the lights work, turn signals, brakes, ect..
It will crank, has compression, but no spark.
we took the coils off and hooked them directly to a battery and they shocked the crap out of me, so im assuming they're still good?
I only have a cheap multi-meter so im not really sure on how accurate the few readings are that I checked.
any help woul be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Do you have power going to the coils when they are on the bike? Do you get power as far as the points? If you turn the engine over until one set of points is open, then bridge the points with a screwdriver, is there a spark at the points or one of the plugs? Check plug caps - are they new? same goes for plugs. What plugs and plug caps do you have?
Make sure your battery is FULLY charged with over 12 across it.
Is the kill switch on (or wired in)?

Think of how stupid the average person is, then realise that half of them are more stupid than that.
