Kris , i just noticed when adding the second picture of your engine that you now use the drain opening location for your return line .. i think i can use that on my build too :D

Hmmmmmm..... Very interesting! Nice work! Where did you source the reed blocks? I'll bet that the factory would have liked a set of those carbs, back in the day. Any idea of the performance expectations of this monster. I'm of the opinion that even Barry Sheene may have been hesitant of openning the throttle on this bad boy. Then again, maybe not. Very interesting to follow this thread. Cheers.

I would have expected that setup would be prone to fatigue cracking - not so ?

Ian , thats really hard to say until its tried out ...but i like the idea as my radiator return line is off to the side instead of the middle like stock so it would save a bit of exta plumbing .

Hello everybody,
still (very) busy in the building process of my TR750
we are busy with the crank and unlike Kris porked shop crank , ours will remain with stock shaped wheels
we decided to lighten the wheels but we will keep the shape (and volume) by milling a 5mm off and replacing the volume lost by a cover in aluminium gaining something close to 200g per wheel creating some kind of a partly hollow space inside the wheels ( i hope you see what i mean??)
Obviously, we will need to balance the crank and i have a question:
Does anybody knows what is the stock balance factor on the GT750?
Thanks
Marc

You can contact Bill Bune in MN. He would know. He does a lot of GT750 cranks. Great guy and easy to talk to.
