Re: GT550A top end woes
Eve Slosher, yes i think that is the reg but im just checking with me mate.think he has had her since about 2002 ish.glad you enjoying my drivel about my 550a.she in my heated garage on trickle charge all wrapped up.looking at forecast and the amount of salt the council are chucking everywhere prob wont be using her much for a while.the H2 my mate runs is not polished up its used but mechanically perfect.we find it is def a bit quicker than my 550 but to be fair we have a bit of mechanical sympathy for the old girls.if we get up to 75 mph we get very excited

Hi vulcanman yes we both had our bikes off Rick Brett

My mate also put spannies on his and kept the original pipes in good condition too.
I did a lot of work on that bike it's got a soup tin for a airbox

Cheers Dave

Re: GT550A top end woes
Ive tightened the nut a little so can have part choke .as it was either on or off.can just hold the lever.never on choke for long .maybe 10/15 secs.

Usual start is full choke on prime no ign 2 full kicks .then ign on and most times starts 1st kick.

If the 550 hasn't been started for while it's a bit of a pig to get going sometimes there after it's straight off the button
