Wow. Spent all today stripping down the second bike. This one was the most complete and the one I'll rebuild.

Was a bit depressing that the rust had gotten to this one more than the first. Every second bolt came off in 2 pieces due to corrosion it seemed.

Now bike is an engine in the frame ready to drop put tomoryiw, so I can strip engine and assess what bits to build up from. 2 buckets of fasteners to clean up and get off to the platers in the week , but better now the bikes are now boxes of parts and a pile of steel for the garbage bin.

That is certainly a project and a half - my hat's off to you ! I took on something similar a couple of years ago - if you are looking for a bed time read, you can take a look at this link. 8)

The second engine looks promising. Barrels look good and the outer two crank area seem to hold petrol without any signs of leakage.

Strip down to crankcase covers tomorrow and hopefully nothing's gonna jump out and bit me

Second engine all apart now... Bar the water pump shaft to pull out.

All looks good that I have a good engine using the two engines that are now pulled apart.

Get cases off to get vapour blasted next payday... And two buckets of bolts to clean up and get ready for the Platers for a bright zinc finish.
