GT500 Brake Caliper 0-rings

I am rebuilding my caliper and forgot to take pictures when i disasembled it. There are 4 small o-rings that go on the two sliding caliper bolts. I cant tell where to position them on the bolts. There are 4 identical gruves in each bolt. Can anyone help me with where the o-rings mount?

Theres actually 5 grooves on the bolts, one is next to the threads where the shaft steps down as well.
From the head counting down, place an o ring on the third groove from the top as well as the fourth groove.
These two also are spaced wider apart if you look at the spacing. The boot sealing lips fit into the other two left available and the one next to the head is there as a relief so the bolts head can fit close to the casting.
Two strokes, its just that simple.

What Allan said, don't forget a generous smear of red rubber grease around the O-rings to lube them in their grooves, and keep the caliper nice and free.

A smear of the red grease around the INSIDE of the dust boots before you fit them also keeps them supple and stops them drying out & tearing.

I use copper coat antisieze on those bolts and o-rings. It is great Lub and will not dry out in hi temp conditions. also good stuff for exhaust joints muffler inserts. I find that the gease can dry. I wouldn't use the silver antisieze and it isn't for hi heat applications.

Use antisieze on any nuts and bolts that you keep corrosion free. Head bolt, exhaust, engine mount bolts. Dofin
