Yes and no - OEM distributors may still have copies, and some retail shops do still have copies for sale - in Canada, Tiger Direct sells the XP Home version via their internet store for example. Legal copies of XP Pro are not readily available. If you don't have a big investment in MS dependant software then the Ubuntu version of Linux is free and works very well - I have it installed on 5 machines here at home.tz375 wrote:Is it still possible to get legit copies of XP to replace Vista?

Eric,
You just finished a stock Cobra and slightly custom 750, so what lights your fire? Something wild or something completely different.
Your GT project is wild enough and will take work, but the 1100 sounds like an easy project with lots of scope for upgrades should you so choose. It's Old Skool just as it is.
So what is it that burns in your heart - a small 250 street racer. a 500 custom, a 750 streetfighter or a bruiser 1100? Maybe a dirt track look on the 250 with high pipes or street scrambler look.
Perhaps a 500 super motard with motor way up there and 17" slicks, high pipes up each side?
What talks to you ?
