200 measured bhp without a tuned expansion chamber??? I am speechless, all I can say is good on ya!!! Sounds awesome. It would take more of a man than me to twist the throttle to the stop.
Where would I get a chassis to contain that brute ???
Too bad they had to use brand H top ends.
Say, I wonder what a V6 with 2 injected Buffalo top ends would do for power ??

I've always wanted to build a Dodge Tomahawk clone out of a 200hp Suzuki V-6 two stroke outboard engine. Single wheels front and rear so it handles (and more importantly turns) like a motorcycle but I've not been able to find a cheap (read nearly free) used V-6 outboard to play with.....

Bloody Kiwis, never listen
Heh... nice one Richard.
Makes one think though - can size (i.e. cc's) overcome the limitations of a non-tuned exhaust on a two-stroke?
Conversely, how much hp can be wrought from a big-bore engine with a properly tuned set of pipes?
On very small engines (125's for example) it's absolutely imperative that the exhaust system is correct otherwise the sheer size (or lack thereof) can't possibly overcome its cc's limitation.
On that engine, the fact that it's four CR500's bolted together would preclude the need for an efficient exhaust, surely?
The potential is almost mindboggling. A well designed, 4 cylinder, twostroke race bike of a few years back was capable of more than 200 HP at the rear wheel from 500 cc's. Simple math puts this beast at more than I would be willing to swing a leg over. It does make for interesting thoughts though. Cheers.

Fantastic as that engine might be I have a feeling it may be destined for a car chassis rather than a bike frame
What engine would you build if you had the funds avaialble. My own musings go for a 1000cc V-twin 2st. If the old Suzuki 250 V-twin can put out 100 BHP in Aprilia form you should be able to make a stonking big version. Keep the power down to moderate levels and trade it for tractabilty for a broad spread of power. Anyone got a few million to spare
