He stripped it down and primered it for some reason? :? New owner has to paint it. $2500 plus a paint and decal job sounds steep to me.

According to his post he wanted a firemist blue bike and the one he got first was red so he stripped it to repaint, only to find out it was originally blue under the red paint.
Then another one came up for sale shortly after his first purchase and this one was blue so he bought it as well.
The next logical step was he took the blue parts and put them on the better looking bike of the two, maybe even swapped a few items as well, its only natural.
So now theres a bike with stripped and primed tank, side covers and headlamp shell parts ready for the colour of your choice,,, so you can make it either red or blue or any other colour you wish...
So $2,500.00 may be a bit steep, but i havent seen the pics yet and he also stated he only wished to recover the cost of his investment.
Either way, where is it written in stone he wont consider taking an offer for it.

Yea , I read it. It all may be true but my bs meter started to twitch for some reason as I read it. He's a newbie, with a strange story. It all may be legit......but who knows...I guess I shouldn't be so suspicious.

I'm with you, stay suspicious until you know otherwise. After being burned a few times I stay this way and believe very little until they can verify there statements. Doesn't mean I'm not gung ho to see it.

OK Allan, have it your way. Whatever makes you feel good. Sorry I said anything. Yes I am human, I have been wrong before, I have made mistakes, will continue to do so.

Thank you for the insightful, and learning experience.

Hey i've got burned too by being over anxious on a few deals in the past, but sometimes people are genuine or genuine a**holes,,, the pics of the item usually separate the two very quickly.
So lets be optimistic for now, you pesimistic lot,,,,,,,
Tim if i was a six foot tall woman id have to kiss the top of your forehead, then slap you after. The thing is i know plenty of the guys on here would love to watch that too.

(now it better be good value for the description and not some POS)

WTF are you talking about...Allan, If you were any size man I'd like to see you try.
You got something to say, grow a pair and say it.

If I am reading you right by your recent comments on other threads and the one above, and I am as despised on this board as you insinuate, Tim doesn't stay where he isn't wanted.
You all just say the word. It won't be hard to get rid of me.

What I won't do is take any more public berating from you. I really thought anything I said to you (by now) was meant as a good natured ribbing. You, as many private messages as we have exchanged, if you didn't know better you should have.

Maybe everyone has their limit of being needled on, but all you had to do if I was getting under your skin was say back the----off. I just thought you knew better.

Anyhow, back to the matter at hand.. I am going to log off. I will try to return sometime --later . Maybe in a few days, maybe in a few weeks. You all decide as Allan says whether you all want to see me get my ass kicked or not.

If I cannot log back in, I will know the answer.

I grew up with a lot of smart a** people who could beat anyone into submission with their sarcasm and quick witted comments etc, and to be honest i'm not even trying at it in anyway here.
Heres a comment Tim left me last night prior to his last one this morning
No, but I got you riled up....I've been a little rough on you lately, I'm sorry. It's just kinda fun...
Tim i take you seriously when the moment deserves it, but other than that we just talk a bunch of silly stuff for good comraderie, well ok at least i do.
Now then,,,,where was that 6 foot Amazonian as i need to pay her.

I have spoken with RE5 owner and he seems to be good guy. I have not seen his bike but I am sure Jess Stockwell has. Ping Jess, he most likely can give you an eval. Jess is a member of the RE5 board.
