You can reuse it...I top it back off with distilled water if any evaporates... It definitely would not be worth it if you had to mix up new solution every time. Contamination from improper rinsing or storage would be the killer.

Loose balls can be usually found in a bicycle repair place. They use them in all the older bikes in various places.

Throttle Twist grip

Post by Admin »

I took the twist grip of my recently aquired T500 and was surprised to find the the plastic (nylon) rotating part was almost worn through It looks like the cable has been rubbing on it for a long time and has almost cut it into two seperate pieces. I want to use the original aluminum housing for the throttle - does anyone know what grip would fit in it or if originals are still available?[/img]

Is there a bike wrecker anywhere near you ?? If so, take the old one with you and they should have dozens of them. Price should be very reasonable since those fit a whole bunch of Suzis.
Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if they weren't still available through your dealer....albeit at a much higher price than the wrecker would charge....USUALLY. Check price/availability with your dealer BEFORE you talk to the wrecker.
Keep in mind that Suzuki supplies the plastic sleeve complete with the grip...
or at least they used to.

The CDI unit goes on the rear of the battery box, and the regulator mounts just under the rear of the fuel tank.

Grab Bar for Suzuki triples & twins

Post by Admin »

I'm considering building a jig to reproduce grab bars.

It does not look that hard I would get the correct size pipe, bend & fabricate mounting points etc then have them chromed.

I know Brian Cutler sells a re-production for early Titan so how hard can it be?

Question will they sell if I build them?

Well I need one as long as it doesn't cost a fortune.

If they're correct, and indistinguishable from the originals, they'll sell.

Hmmmm....

Has anyone had a problem with the tapered bearings being a little bit taller than the stockers so that the headlight mounting ears become loose? I know that problem exists with the ones for the RDs, but wondered about the "all-balls" units for GT250. Thanks for any info.

Usually they do stick up slightly. A big FAT o-ring from the hardware store that is sized about the same as the forks tubes placed on top of the fork ear and under the top triple clamp will fix it right up and is not noticable.
