GT500 - Carb Connector Orientation

Hi,

Forgot to take a picture/make notes when taking the carbs apart for cleaning! Which way does number 29 (see picture below) go? There's a cut-out in it; does this line up with the hole in the top of the slide or does it go the other way round and "block" the hole off?

I’m no expert on these bikes but does the exploded view you’ve referenced give you a clue?
The throttle slide (25-26) in the image doesn’t show a cut away which would naturally be facing the rear wheel on your bike and part number 29 looks like it ‘handed’ with a slot facing the front wheel.
If I had no better info than this picture, that’s where I’d start.

I installed mine covering the hole. Not sure if that is correct, but I would think it should be sealed somewhat.
