Hi,
So, I just got hold of this bike I want to restore. At some point in time, the owner decided to skip the CCI system, so the oil line was removed and the incoming banjo connection was replaced with a normal bolt to cover the hole, basically.
1. Was this common? What was the reason for this you think?
2. Can I expect the engine to be damaged due to this? I've read that pre-mixing the fuel will not do it for the crank bearings. Don't know for how long the bike ran like this.
3. I'm having trouble finding the parts that I need (will have to order from the UK or US). Can it be replaced with a straight connection like this?

Not familiar with the GT125, but most models including the TS line uses CCI system to oil at least some of the main bearings. Suzuki used oil guide plates on the crankshaft to guide CCI oil out of main bearings, you are correct, they do not allow oil in from premix. As far as damage, it depends how long it was run without oil to the main bearings.
The banjo connection has no check valves, so I see no reason the straight connectors wouldn't work.
The main reason for people unhooking CCI system was they didn't trust them, not realizing they were damaging the engine by doing so. The Suzuki CCI system is very reliable. I don't think Yamaha used the oil guide plates, so you could run them on premix.

Oil pump connected to the oil tank, and some oil in the tank... should I see some movement in the oil line(s) just by kicking, or do I need some "real" rpm's (motor running)? If it's supposed to move just by kicking, I guess the oil pump is broken, and that's why they disconnected it.

Did you bleed the line and the pump? There should be a bleed screw on the pump, I think it is left hand threads.
You will need faster rpm to notice oil movement in lines.

Thanks for the tip, didn't know that. I will try to bleed it, unfortunately the spark is gone again (see other thread) so I need to fix that issue before I can get it started.

The oil pump bleed screws on the older twin designs (T250/GT250/T350/T500/etc) have left hand threads.
That is presumably because the screw is also part of the pump mechanism.
Did an eBay search for the GT125/GT185 oil pumps.
The GT125/GT185 oil pumps look to be a similar design to the pumps on he triples.
The bleed screw on the triples is not part of the pump mechanism.
If my memory is correct, those bleed screws are regular right hand thread.
