still looking for the 188 series p6, when I asked steve at motocarb about the quality of his items (not stamped mikuni), he got angry and went radio silent.

JB,

If you can't get suitable #188 series, you could use #159 which are more common. AFAIK, they are identical with one small difference. #188 take round jets and #159 use Hex jets and they are not rated in the same way. The table will get you close enough.

Lo and behold, Sudco had some P6!
jabcb, thank you for the steer to the legacy post, and see below for the response to last nights email to Chad:

We have P-2 and P-6s left.
We can ream P-2s to P-4 or P-5.
Each one would be $20.50.

Funny, a year or so ago, they only had P8. Which is what I bought and installed in an effort to avoid any sort of lean condition.
He (Chad) said that somehow this stuff surfaces from time to time.
And I can now continue to leverage all the large round mains I've accumulated over the years.
And also a shout out to TZ375, his fingerprints all over this build...
