Digital gear display connection
Hi I am rebuilding a Suzuki GT550M 1975, there is a 6 pin connector from the gear position display to I presume connect to the gear indicator switch but I cannot see a 6 pin connector for it to mate with, am I missing something? Can anyone help?

Re: Digital gear display connection
Hello...
There is (should be) an extra cable, six-core with six-pin-connectors.
The 6-pin plug connections are located in the head lamp and in the electrical mounting plate behind the left side cover.

Re: Digital gear display connection
Thanks for the response, I have checked the side electrical panel and there are no 6 pin connectors there that fit and no apparent space any other thoughts?

Re: Digital gear display connection
I believe it is a separate cable that goes from side cover to headlight, it is not in the main harness, you may be missing the cable you are looking for.
I believe the part number is 36660-31200

Re: Digital gear display connection
I have the separate cable which connects the six pin in the head light and extends down to the area of the side panel but I have nothing there to connect to. There seems to be no connection from the area of the side panel to the gear selector, I think something must be missing.
What I need to know is how does the gear selector connect to the cable I have routed to the side panel?
Thanks

Re: Digital gear display connection
Are you saying you don't have the wiring from the position switch ?

@karl pa
That's right.
The 6-core-cable from gear shifting switch (on left engine side near sprocket) is lead to the electrical mounting plate and it's 6-pin connector is fitted in an opening of the plate. There has to be the separate cable mentioned above to connect between the plate connector and the one of the indicator in the headlamp.
? maybe the switch is missing or it's a J/K-Model-engine with neutral indicator switch only ?
pic ?
