changing speedo bulbs

Can anyone advise how to access and change the bulbs in the speedo and tacho on my Gt 750 j
Haynes manual doesnt make it clear

I believe you remove cable, then the two screws holding back cover allowing cover to be removed, then remove nuts and washers allowing tach/speedo to be removed from bracket, there are spacers in the bracket cushion that may come out when meter is removed, bulb sockets are pushed into holes in the back of meters, these you wiggle and twist to remove, they can be stuck in place so care must be taken not to tear the rubber.
