Why?

Looks like a decent bike..

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Suzuki-GT250 ... 3618108594" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

margins to make money is going to be tight (tank and side panels sold for 285
motor up for 500 ono)..I woudl have though complete it would be worth about 3k.
and less hassle. :?

Absolutely outrageous! But of course we are on a time when parts are worth more than a complete bike. Scandalous I say... :x

He really ought to be more descriptive on exactly what type of nut he would send. :( :wink:

I wonder what the story/source is on that luggage rack. At least a modern quick connect trunk with it's mounting plate was able to be fitted to it.

Strange thing is, its being stripped but not even fully. e.g.the motor thats being sold is complete with carbs, kickstart and gear lever, all parts that could be sold on separately...

this is the same bloke that i won the gt250 conrod kit off for 99p plus post - no other bidders - then he wouldn't send it me, he said he'd lost it. guess what? 7 months later and it's back on for £60 bin :? his name is frank and he hasn't half had some stick off our forum. perfectly good bike now gone, just because of greed. btw, i made him an offer on the conrod kit - of 99p :D needless to say he declined, he also declined to answer my eb message in which i called him a complete idiot :D
cheers, dd.

I had a similar thing. A guy was selling a pair of o/s pistons - near the end of the auction it looked like they would go for a song (e.g. 20 quid the pair). I made some enquiry I can't remember what and he said I could BIN for 25 quid - EACH. When I alerted him to the price rise he accused me of being too greedy and took them off sale .. If you want a minimum price then let that be the start price I say.
If you want a quick sale be prepared for the worst.
