What colour is the new one, John? I remember your old green one well. Very sweet.
1976 GT380 - wounded by me, and sold on
2006 SV650S - killed by a patch of diesel and a kerb in Feb 2019
2017 SV650 AL7 - naked and unashamed

Hi guys, I am hopefully acquiring a mint 1972 T500. The T3 mod hasn't been done so far ( oil starvation), the seller has agreed to do it and I have asked if they would do the crank seals at the same time as well as replace ( if necessary) any damaged gears (4/5th) if worn. As the bike is mint and only done <9k miles I suspect gears may be ok, Q I have is if he refuses to do the seals is there any way before he breaks the engine to test if they are currently ok ?. I have no knowledge of these bikes, I merely see this as an oppounity to keep a mint classic - mint. I wonder if the is any form of pressure test if that does not sound too stupid to see if there is a leak ????? Any advice would be appreciated. I will be seeing the bike run this week before I commit so have an opportunity to intervene with any font of knowledge you can give me
Regards
Paul
