Bardney racing TR500 fairing, any thoughs?

Post by Ravivos »

In the progress of building a TR500 replica from my GT500, i came across Bardney racing that produces a TR500 fiberglass fairing.
since i will be visiting the UK next week, i thought about ordering their fairing and ship it to the hotel.

any thought and opinion on their product?
i will probably buy the whole lot - fairing, belly pan, seat section, screen and mud guard.

any input will be welcomed and appreciated.

thanks.
Raviv.

Well, since no one had a bad opinion on them (or no opinion, for that matter), i went ahead and bought the needed items from Barndey Racing.
all i can say is - WOW!
their products quality is excellent, super fast shipping and great people to work with.
i bought everything needed for the TR500, i.e. fairing, bellypan, screen, front mudguard and tail section... it all came wrapped and packed in a cardboard box, took me a while to go through the packing material until i got to the fairing.
the box manage to survive another flight to my homeland without any damage.

so. if you are looking for a good fiberglass parts for a good price and excellent customer service, Bardney Racing is the way to go.

Thanks for the review. I had never heard of them before your post. Glad you got it all home OK.

If you stroke it more than twice; you're playing with it.

Too many bikes, too much time, ENOUGH SPACE, FINALLY! Never enough money.........

Just a little mock up...
Still need to build a new aluminum gas tank and aluminum oil tank.
Also, need to design and build a new sub-frame for the fairing, any idea where to start?

Thanks.

Hi Ravivos,

Keep it simple and go with a race type set-up.

1. Mount/Weld a tube going forward from the headstock. Then a 2nd tube which can slide in and out which bolts to the front of the fairing

2. Side mounts.

3. Similar mounts for the bottom of the fairing and a cross brace from the centre of the top yolk to the screen sides (I'll get some photos of mine, easy to make)

Cheers Geoff
