T500 pistons

Post by RossB »

Hey Gents
Just had my 74 T500 cylinders honed out they were really nice so didn't need to bore them over
They only took out .001 so the 70mm is right on was going get some new rings but nooo!
Pistons cracked on inside where pin goes in,having a little trouble getting new pistons that aren't
O/S. Wiseco has left ones and 6 weeks in till they run a nother batch for the rights. Any better
Choices?
Thanks

Yes,just at lot of oversized pistons and some cheap sets (not forged) think you old ones broke because there cast.

Stock cast pistons,Wiseco and Wossner forged are all great choices. Piston skirts usually break when clearances are too large of course.
