Strange spark issue, Help please
Issue is with a '97 Tigershark jetski, the engine is a 640cc Suzuki two-stroke. Engine turns over good but will not run on both cylinders. With one spark plug removed (that wire grounded with a screwdriver to the head) it will fire right up and run on one cylinder, same with either cylinder. With both plugs in it will not fire. I checked compression, 115 & 120, I tried different plugs. Will someone please explain to me wth is going on here? I talked to a very good pwc mechanic, he said the cdi ignition system normally either works or it doesn't work at all, (not intermittant).

Re: Strange spark issue, Help please
I' m guessing dual lead single coil? Both plugs firing every 180 degrees? viewtopic.php?f=29&t=12311" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Maybe find a coil, even if primary resistance is not correct, just for a quick test run. You never know!

Try new plug caps.
Think of how stupid the average person is, then realise that half of them are more stupid than that.
