other bike models compatible with 750 front sprokets?

Post by MikeD »

having a hard time figuring out what other bike models share the same transmission output shaft pattern for the front sprocket so that I can hunt down a manufacturer with an existing 520 conversion kit and offset sprocket.

This says that 83-86 KX500, wondering what others might be?

ETA: nevermind, as is always the case after hours of searching the moment I submit this I find the answer:

http://www.jtsprockets.com/catalogue/sprocket/JTF424" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; has the list

I don't know about the 520 sprocket, but if you decided to use the stock 530, the Kawasaki 750 H2 uses the same spline and is offset.... This is what I use on my GT750 so I can run an Oring chain without the chain scrubbing on the seal plate behind the sprocket..

But this is chain size #530, aren't you looking for #520?

For #520 try:
Suzuki DR600/750/800 (JTF437/438)
Rear: JTR1826

interesting, both the GT (JT424) and the H2 (JT508) sprockets have the same shaft dimensions at 21/5/25 but the H2 is offset, both 530. Would have to know the sprocket thickness to subtract from 11mm to get the offset.

Now to figure out how to search the JT site for sprockets based on shaft dimensions, looking for an offset 520

I am, trying to keep the chain thin and clear of the frame. 530 should fit fine, but I'd guess that its easier to find an offset in a 520, but maybe I'm wrong.

I'm grabbing all the JT drawings now with a wget script, trying to be a good citizen but this does beat their web server up a bit even when I have it running at a 50k throttle

after scrubbing the JT site I come up with the following front sprockets as matches that will mount up on the 750

PN - chain - teeth - offset
1467 428 13
576 428 15,17,18,19 9mm

569 520 10 to 18
1573 520 13,14
438 520 15
427 520 14,15,16 7.1mm
575 520 13,14,15,16 8.0mm
507 520 13,14,15 8.8mm
1502 520 13 9mm

506 525 14, 15 10.0mm
1448 525 13,14,15 10mm

424 530 14
567 530 16,17,18

508 530 14,15,16 11mm
571 530 15,16,17 12mm
