hi guys
quick question ,what tyre pressure should i be running,im not using period tyres which run about 26psi i believe
ive got modern michelin pilots front and rear, normally on a modern rim would run about 40psi,but with old rims and tubes fitted would lower pressures be okay

Re: gt750j tyre pressures
Dennis,
I run 33psi front and 36 psi read on my GT750A, wearing Avon Roadriders. Handles well.
I actually don't find these bikes too sensitive to tyre pressure (unlike some modern bikes, which can handle like a shot horse if the pressures are too low!).
Experiment and see what feels best.
Also, sometimes the tyre manufacturer will tell you what they recommend on these older bikes if you email the help address.
Cheers,
Mike

Re: gt750j tyre pressures
If the max pressure is not listed on the tire, I run 36 front and rear. That's tires with tubes. Rolls so much easier and I'm sure it helps with MPG. (GT550)
I was born with nothing and still have most of it left.

Re: gt750j tyre pressures
thanks for that info guys ,ive got 40psi at the moment and suspension feels a bit harsh so ill drop the pressure a bit,i was just worried the side walls might flex a bit to much with the lower pressure
