T & GT500 gasket sets.
I've done several rebuilds and each time a strange gasket the one in the middle (see photo) where should it go???

Working from the picture, it looks like the valve cover gasket.

You are talking about one of the four gaskets in the middle ? Oil pump, neutral switch cover, and carburettor gaskets. Only the early models used all the gaskets - after engine 15560 an o-ring was used for the neutral switch cover.
