Hi All,
It's been a while since I have been on this site. I have a GT550. The previous owner did something to this bike. The two outside cylinders had holes in the pistons. It only had 1 1/2 carbs. I was going to part it out, but in a last ditch effort I was giving it one more try to locate a engine in the K.C. area.
Turned out a guy on Craig's list had a engine, and it was mounted on a Yamaha 500 Quad. Quite a site. We had him drive the quad around and it ran very nice.
The frame number on the bike is a GT550-15702, is this a 72 or a 73?
As I get into the rebuild of this bike, I'm sure I'll need a lot of help and advice.
Thanks in Advance!
FRAME NUMBER
