Re: Suzuki GT750 Neuvo Retro Cafe Racer
Oh, sorry, I saw that post before- but I had thought maybe you had trimmed the outside or lower part of the fairing. I like that fairing possibly for another project I am doing. I will probably just have to buy one and go with it to see how it looks.
Which airtech fairing is that? I have gone through that site about a million times until my eyes are blurred- I have bought the RS 125 Honda tail off there.

It is a Ducati supersport fairing from a 1998 750.cruisingram wrote:Oh, sorry, I saw that post before- but I had thought maybe you had trimmed the outside or lower part of the fairing. Thanks! I was wondering if you needed two pieces to that or not.Rassie wrote:You can find it here http://www.airtech-streamlining.com/duc ... 997-98.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; the number is 2DUC91C

Re: Suzuki GT750 Neuvo Retro Cafe Racer
Hi, I'm new to the site. I'm just beginning a gt750 build of my own, I'm curious about what chain alignment issues you encountered fitting the 180 rear tire. Did it require offsetting the front sprocket? You've done a beautiful job with this build and I hope my final result looks as nice as yours!

Re: Suzuki GT750 Neuvo Retro Cafe Racer
I used a 160 tire, it was 12mm out of alignment so I machined 10mm off the rear hub at the sprocket and inserted an extra washer behind the front sprocket. It works fine but I have to pay attention to rear wheel alignment it has to be spot on and properly tensioned at all times otherwise it gets noisy due to the larger swing arm and closer tolerance.

Re: Suzuki GT750 Neuvo Retro Cafe Racer
You would need 2DUC91C, 2DUC92S and 2DUC93S to do what I did. Then trim the side fairings to align with the bottom of the tank.cruisingram wrote:Thanks! Yes because I am in the process of taking over a project bike that is similar to yours, but using an FZR1000 rolling chassis. I have already mounted the motor and welded up the chmabers..at this rate I will overtake you in a few weeks.

Here is a sneak peek at Rassie's next project. Some of you might recognize it from a build thread on 2StrokeWorld. I've decided to refocus my attentions and will be passing the baton to my good friend to take it through the finish line. Stay tuned!
