an alloy 'can' maybe 3 inches long and with three wires on one end, like this:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1975-Suzuki-G ... 1e8172f165" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
On the GT380, its not easy to see it when you remove the left hand side panel, as it lives more deeply, behind the airbox.
Cheers,
Mike

Yup. Looks like a small tin can.
I was born with nothing and still have most of it left.

I found it and when I took it out i felt something shaking around inside of the can. The shop did the re wiring but didn't replace relay. It was working for about a week and then it got super cold one night n next day it didn't work. Regardless where would the best place to get a replacement relay be.? Thanks

Ebay.
Failing that, GTReiner in Europe, Crooks or Robinsons Foundry in the UK.
Think of how stupid the average person is, then realise that half of them are more stupid than that.

While you're at it, you should report that shop to the BBB.

I was also told by this glorious bike shop that I don't have have The right brake lever, therefore I have no connector for the brake light, it still lights up on rear brake but from a safety standpoint I'd like to have both functioning. I'm not sure how the whole assembly works to light the brake, so I need to know what parts to search if anyone could help. Thanks

Spec may have been different in the US, but over here in the UK, the front brake didn't activate the stop light......

Well its nice to know someone has a damn clue. I learned my lesson this time those guys suck. He tried to tell me he did hours of research blah blah blah. Either way I'm going to order the relay here soon and hope that fixes it

The old T500 parts list doesn't show the front brake light switch parts, but it is there on my '71, and it is in the fiche on the Dillon's website.

There are 2 basic things you need to have the front brake lever activate the brake light: The correct front brake assy perch where the switch attached (has a cutout on the underside, with 2 screw holes on each end; and the switch harness assy (57470-33010) [picture below]

The whole front brake assy looks like it may still be available from Suzuki (at least correct for some years). The switch assy is NLA, but there are aftermarket replacements out there (think I paid $15-20 for one awhile back)

The wires run into the headlight bucket, where they connect to brown (switched +12V) and white (brake light bulb).

Good to know there's options. The turn signal relay is up first, not sure where to order it from
