My 1975 gt550 that I have been working on.
I painted it with Ford candy apple red and used 74 tank decals since I like them better. I'm not finished but its coming along. Right now I'm putting it back together after a rod bearing took a crap. Hope to have it running again next week.

Yea I did get it running and rode it twice before putting it to sleep for the winter. It ran pretty good.

Great job, looks great. If I had to choose one favorite color on a motorcycle, it would have to be red. How would you describe it, when a rod bearing goes? Will the motor still turn over?

When the bearing went it made a hell of a racket, clack clack clack and shut off. The motor would still turn over but would not start. When the bearing totally failed it also broke off part of both piston skirts on that cylinder.

Very nice. That red works well.

Nice to see another back on the road.
