Gas tank restoration revisited
Greetings, all. Upon previous advice, I poured a quart of MEK into my badly Kreem-peeling but otherwise nice GT 550 tank. Lowe's only had the MEK- substitute, so that's what I used.... Seems to work amazingly well! At least for what it reached. If I want to fill the tank and leave it overnight, what should I use? I'm thinking buying four gallons or so might be impractical (expensive, if I can find it, and I'm not too sure about disposal). Can I thin the MEK with something and fill the tank? Any advice from experienced folks would be much appreciated!

Is this to strip the lining from the inside? If so, there is a lovely step by step article on this topic in the ?September issue of Classic Motorcycles Mechanics magazine
