Hi,
Looking for a 1mm oversize GT550 piston kit. Does anyone have for sale?
If you have rings and wristpins too, fine, but I can get those elsewhere if you only have the pistons.
Thanks.

Too bad you don't need a .5 over set. Those I have in Wiseco with dykes rings. Also have a stock bore cylinder set and head. No bent fins. Just a nice set. Make me an offer!
I was born with nothing and still have most of it left.

Re: Want to buy GT550 pistons
Thanks, I'm aware of that seller, but I have deliberately avoided those pistons as the quality is doubtful and there has been various experiences with them. There has been several discussions about those over at the Kawi triples board. I know of at least one breakdown due to failure of those pistons (S3 piston, totally shattered). Also in some cases the rings in those kits have not been of the correct size, and there has been clearing issues. For that price I find it hard to believe that the quality is any good. They may look ok, but visual appearance doesn't give any clue of the alloy quality. May be ok for low speed town crusing or for a show bike that is not meant to be ridden. I safe-bet and go for NOS or Wiseco and pay a little more than to risk engine breakdown and another expensive rebuild.oldjapanesebikes wrote:I've had good luck with this vendor on fleabay - 140858261394
