GT750 cylinder removal pulling plate

Post by wvc »

Hi All.

Anyone have a GT750 cylinder pulling plate they'd be interested in selling. I've spoken with my local machine shop about manufacturing one for me, but I'm afraid it might be cost prohibitive. If someone has one they'd be willing to part with, I'll buy it. Or someone thats familiar with making them, I'll pay to have one made up.

Thanks in advance.

Matt,

Do you still need the pull plates? I can tell you where to get a set cheap.

Hello Everyone,
I have a 73 K model that I rescued from a barn. I'll spare the details but I have made great progress up to the point of starting it. It ran and idled great but the clutch plates were stuck. After pulling the pipes (left side cracked, naturally), I knew that to make it run well, with reliability, that it needed a top end. It had 38k on the odo after all. The motor has never been cracked.
Soooo... of course the cylinder is fused to the block. I have been soaking the stud holes with various substances and heating it and "persuading" it with a BFH. It is softening up but still not budging. My patience is at an end. I need to use a puller.
Yep , That is the tool I need. No doubt about it.
So any help in obtaining one would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
