Oil Pump Boots
If you are in the market for an original look boot (part number 16765-31200) for your oil pump lever - as used on the L, M and A models (the one you can buy from Suzuki today is for the B) - Ken in the UK has had them reproduced. There is a photo at this link:

I'll be buying at least a couple - if you want one best contact him via the Clinick board, or the Facebook 'Suzuki GT750 Owners' page.

Re: Oil Pump Boots
Hi Ian. Been wanting to buy that boot for a while. Is the B-model style just a rubber cover as you mention in your field guide and might you happen to have a picture of it? Ken's price, converted to U.S. dollars, is about $24 + shipping while AlphaSports lists that B-model cover for $10.44. Just wondering how different they are. Thanks.

Re: Oil Pump Boots
Well - I don't have a photo of the B type handy, but this is the L. M and A one (part 16765-31200) :

Now, imagine if you cut off all the of the ribbed cover from the front of the left side plate that fits into the oil pump housing, so that its only about 1/8 inch thick (basically just big enough to fill the opening in the housing with a round hole in the middle for the rod to pass through) and that's what a B model (part 16765-31201) looks like !

Re: Oil Pump Boots
Yeah that's what I was afraid of. If you hadn't mentioned anything I probably would have ordered it from Suzuki and had a big surprise when it came in, not noticing the part had been superseded

For others - most people have a Facebook account, so the easiest way to find Ken is via the 'Suzuki GT750 Owners' group there without having to join multiple interest boards. That way, you can send him a note via the Facebook messaging system (don't post requests on the wall - click on his name and then send him a message). For those of you not on the Kettle Clinick board, or on Facebook, just PM ,me and when I get time I'll connect you to him.

Re: Oil Pump Boots
Ken now has these available - check either this link http://www.kettleclinick.com/viewtopic. ... 9648#p9648" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; or check the GT750 Facebook page, or contact Ken directly at this email address Kt005b1169@blueyonder.co.uk . Cost is £15 each plus postage and they will go quickly.

Likewise I have received mine also - they look perfect ! A big tip of the hat to Ken for arranging to have these made

Re: Oil Pump Boots
I had ordered two boots as well from Ken and I must also say the reproduction is first rate, right down to the little square plate in the end.
Two strokes, its just that simple.
