Never seen anybody do that before! At least he doesn't have very far to fall if he does.

It's also a great way to break your neck as the tarmac grabs the helmet. It's amazing how much grab the street can have on a smooth helmet.

Actually I have done that myself.....but I got a whole lot of other body parts down too, and just about all of the bike....and it involved a wall. In fact I've done it a few times, sometimes involving cars too !

Truth is, I haven't ever touched a knee down, (without falling off), although I have tucked them in many times to avoid them touching the road. I have ridden round the outside of plenty of knee dragging showmen though !

Ha, I remember an article in Classic Bike about 10 years ago, where Phil Read did a track day. He said: "I've won 8 world championships and NEVER had my knee down ..."
