Who handles BS carb kits?
Really surprised Parts n More doesn't have these. I really don't need 3 kits. I just need 3 float bowl gaskets and 1 pilot jet. All are available from Alpha Sports, but jeeeeeeeeeezzz! Pilot jet $10.50 (I would pay that). Gaskets $9.20 ea. That I won't pay.
I was born with nothing and still have most of it left.

Re: Who handles BS carb kits?
The problem with Sudco is you have to buy a minimum of 4 of the same size jets. Seems silly as I only need one.

Re: Who handles BS carb kits?
Just for future reference - check these folks out at this eBay listing number - 140499963279 . That's $25 for a set of three kits - its a cheap way to get gaskets
, but as well so far the other items I've bought from them have been fine. Also - do a Google search using this string: 'eparts.us 260041' . Price is a higher in this case, but I've bought a few things off the eparts auction site - no issues and often lower prices than eBay, if they have something you need. No one seems to know about it so you are often the only bidder

Re: Who handles BS carb kits?
Thanks for the offers! But seeings how I need the gaskets, I may as well buy the three kits that Allen pointed out. Thanks for the link Allen.
On the flip side, I am not buying anything till I get these blasted diaphragms to swell somehow. I have one soaking in gasoline right now. Put it in yesterday afternoon so I hope I know something soon.
Oh by the way, the pilot needed is a #45. According to my resources that would mean these carbs fit 75 - 77. The 74 uses the 47.5's.

Re: Who handles BS carb kits?
Well CRAP! I just pulled the diaphragm / slide out of the gasoline soak. Now it's too big. I set it out in the sun. Maybe some evaporation will pull it back in as the gas dissipates from the rubber.

Re: Who handles BS carb kits?
Some how I managed to lose all 3 bowl drain caps. Anybody have any of those? If not I guess I'll order up 3 new ones as they show to be available.

You're having a bad time, aren't you,
don't worry, I LOST a whole ft caliper brake hose bracket this evening for no apparent reason, then it magically reappeared.

Re: Who handles BS carb kits?
Whenever I tear down carbs, I use 3 seperate trays. I keep each carburetor and all it's related parts in it's own tray. None contained the drain plugs. Like I said, these have been sitting for about 3 years. The only thing I can think of is I must have removed the drain plugs in a different location before tearing them totally down. I'm sure they are here but I am also sure I will never find them. I say that because I have been through everything twice looking for the elusive gas cap gasket. I didn't see those either.
