Can scratches in plastic be fixed?

O.K. so this isn't a suzuki T/GT fender per se but it is for a two-stroke so I thought I'd post the question. I bought the fender used for my CR250 dirt bike and was wondering if anyone has any ideas how I might fix these scratches. It needs to stay pliable to handle my many crashes so bondo/paint is not an option. I was thinking a very fine sand paper followed by polish? Any ideas welcome.

it all depend how deep the scratches's are.
I've used a heat gun to melt and blend in small scratches's.
and it worked for me any way.
you've nothing to lose by trying just go steady.

I've used a Micromesh kit before on plastics with good results. The micromesh kits are made for getting scratches out of plexiglass, lexan, etc, but work good on other colored plastics too. Its basically a sandpaper kit that starts with about an 800 grit i believe, and gets all the way down to a 20,000 grit (feels like a piece of leather). It is time consuming and tedious, but works good. I made a set of old red plastic side covers that were weathered and oxidized look almost new. Good luck.

It sounds like there isn't really an easy / cheap fix. Since I could buy a new fender for about $32 it isn't worth spending much time on it. I did try sanding a part under the seat with 2000 grit followed by aluminum polish and I just ended up with a cloudy grey look. So that DIDN'T work. What I ended up doing was just skimmed over all the scratches with a flat razor to bring down the ridges and waxed the fender which took out some of the scuffs. Being that it's a dirt bike and I'll probably crash and break it off within a week anyway I'm not too worried about it. Thanks guys.
