Oil Change Questions

Post by stinger1133 »

I have read that there is a plug that you can remove that will seep oil when the crank case is full. Where is it located on a 76 gt750? Also, where is the drain plug ? :wth: I cant remember where I read this at but I do remember that it did not say where these plugs were.

The oil level plug is on the side of the clutch cover just forwards of the kickstarter shaft. Under the engine towards the rear central portion is two large plugs, one is at an angle to the case surface which is the neutral detent spring plug, while the other one next to it is the oil drain plug.
Two strokes, its just that simple.

The seep hole is here. It's also a oil drain if the tranny is over filled. With the bike on the center stand, fill with oil till it begins to seep from this hole.
The drain plug is on the under side of the motor - between the mufflers. You can locate it easily with a small mirror.
