Hmmm.....those vehicle insurance prices are almost as bad as Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec......but I don't believe that OK has a government monopoly insurance, so I don't understand the high rates.
You're paying about 50% more than I pay for a 2008 Envoy (full coverage) and a 1996 Astro with PL & PD only.....but then I live in a bigger centre with about 3 times the population and, obviously, a higher accident rate. Doesn't make sense unless we Calgarians are more courteous drivers than Tulsans......wait.....
No, no....I took leave of my senses there for a minute....
Nope there's gotta be another reason why we have lower rates.
As to the house insurance, OK's not in an earthquake zone or prone to flooding....although the tornado occurrences MIGHT have something to do with higher rates.....and maybe the quickness of folks in the US to sue a homeowner if they trip on his front doorstep ??
My home and contents are valued somewhat higher than yours, Coyote, and yet I pay about half your premiums.
Maybe less tornadoes and lawsuits in Cowtown ??
The ways of insurance underwriters are not to be understood by us mere mortals, I'm afraid......(shakes his head sadly)
