There are a few stations in my area that advertise no ethenol gas, I always run that in my Buffalo and car when I can.

That's an interesting web site, but the comments at the bottom have to be taken with a large pinch of salt.

One guy claims his E10 tested at >90% ethanol and another says his fuel consumption increased by 200%.

Neither of those makes a whole lot of sense.

We tested for phase separation in street gas a couple of years ago and the gas was clear until you add a significant amount of water to exceed the estimated amount of ethanol. In other words, those sample pictures are with >10% water added to E10. they are not a gas sample out of a tank in operation.

What I saw was a clear liquid (sample from the tank) which separated after we added a whole load of water. That caused phase separation which is how you measure Alcohol content of fuel with an alcohol tester.

They also ignore the fact that all gas systems draw fuel from the bottom or close to the bottom first. If the water has separated, it will be at the bottom until the bike goes onto reserve and then it would suck the dregs out.

My own RZ350 does very few miles each year and still has gas in the tank from more than a year ago and it still starts after two or three kicks and runs like a champ. Of course now I said that, you know it will come back and bite me.

That said, good oil is always a good idea, and bikes and older cars need 1-3% richer jetting to compensate for the lower stoichiometric ratio for ethanol, and ethanol really does leach the resin out of fiberglass tanks made up to a couple of years ago. So use fresh fuel where possible and get 100% gas if possible.
