Because she is currently on second shift as a surgery nurse, so by the time she could have called, it was the middle of the night, so she let me sleep.

We do the same thing every year (7 so far)... I cook a home made pizza and we watch "My Big Fat Greek Wedding". No gifts, just an exchange of cards. Goofy tradition I know, but that's what we do.
