You sound a little testy
Not testy, Doug but INCREDULOUS !!
I can't believe that the citizens of a supposedly democratic province would put up with such outright robbery by a series of socialist provincial governments. Having said that, a populace gets the government it deserves......and Manitobans are DEFINITELY reaping what they've sown.
The government insurance program was originally sold to the populace as a cheaper alternative to private insurance. Riiiiight....
We all know how governments can run things cheaper than private enterprise....right??
I don't even want to think how much it would have cost me over the years if I had stayed living there since 1975 or thereabouts when government insurance was started. I'd have been in the poorhouse long since.
Socialists, generally, hate private property.....and private vehicles are an obvious symbol of private property.....so they gotta disappear sooner rather than later. How can this be done semi-legally (instead of outright confiscation) ?? Why we'll just up the insurance rates so that the average schmoe can't afford to insure a private vehicle. Lovely.
Take this lesson to heart.....the socialists WILL screw you over eventually....if you own a motorcycle. They'll get to the private cars and trucks later.
