Off topic ... sorry if this offends anyone

Post by Suzukidave »

I am not even going to try and claim i have never drank and drove but this video really drives it home .. yall take care during the holidays .. please watch this Great Aussie Ad Campaign!

This is perhaps one of the most intense commercials that I've ever seen and very well made. I hope that by passing this along to others, that it will make a difference and if just one life is saved, it will all be worth the effort to simply hit "send" and maybe save a life today or tomorrow or in the future.
I think Australia should be complimented on having the guts to "tell it like it is" and get this campaign out to all of its licensed drivers and to air it on TV...it is very moving and very life like so it has a very strong impact.

Absolutely no apology necessary.

Very powerful reminder - just NEVER mix the two.

Stay safe this Christmas, folks.

(Nice to hear that track again)

Thanks Dave.

The other ads are equally graphic. For those among us that think we don't need ATGATT check out teh SCOOTER GIRL video.

They were designed to be graphic because most of us have not experienced the trauma and devastation of a serious traffic accident and have little idea how bad they can be.

Careful with the booze and stay alert. I don't want to lose any of you any time soon.

Yup those videos are very graphic, but they do make a direct point, so let play it safe ALL year long once you are riding or driving.
Thanks for putting this video up again Dave.

Traffic Accident Comission.
The TACs main role is compulsory third party insurance provider for Victorian motorists, its part of our registration fees. These ads are pretty graphic, but no one takes any notice of them here. The lack of driving & riding standards have really deteriorated here over the last 15 years. It's that bad now that I have not ridden my push bike for 10 years, I'm constantly copping abuse for sitting on the speed limit or obeying road laws that most Victorians don't even know exist. And when I'm asked why, I tell them it's because I refuse to pay fines to the Government just because I might not agree with some road law. Over 30 years of riding now and no tickets is something to be proud of, especially for a bike rider in this anti bike state.

Sorry guys, I'll get of my soap box now & go sit in the corner.
