Hi & thanks for looking in,
I have recently bought a GT750 A, all seemed well first few rides then on one run out it lost power - checked it over, o/s downpipe cold found to be a dodgy spark plug so changed it and all seemed ok, on next ride after about 10 miles it started to lose power once more barely able to get me home in low gears, same downpipe cold again but plug ok with spark, parked up overnight & next day ran the engine, all seemed ok engine sounded fine & downpipe was hot so took it for another run & once again the same problem after 10 miles or so & a struggle getting home, it ran better after a stop & short rest but only for a few hundred yards during the ride home.
Any one out there with some advice for me I would be most appreciative, by the way what spark plugs are recommended.

It could be a condensor or coil breaking down as it heats up.

NGK B8ES are the usual choice.

To add to what Rhencullen said, just a quick thought -- does the headlight get brighter when you rev the engine up to 3,000 in neutral? If it doesn't, there may be a charging system fault.

If the headlight does get brighter, that's great, the charging system is working.

Then have a look at the battery - it may need the electrolyte topping up, or it may be old and dying. The Suzi triples need a good battery to run properly. Also check the main earthing point for the battery negative lead -- the end of the lead should be clean bare metal, as should the earthing point on the frame.

If the problem is really just on one pot, that suggests either a partially blocked float valve or a failing coil or condenser. I'd start with the carb. Remove the carbs and take out the float valve needle and seat and check that for debris or other blockages.

If all three are open and clean, it's time to replace the condensers or coil pack. If you still have a fat blue spark immediately after it starts to run on one cylinder it is probably fuel related. If you pull the plug when the motor dies and there's no spark, but it returns later, it's probably ignition related.
