Suzuki 2 Strokes

I didn't open the engine cases on my Cobra yet, but its kick pedal will drop forward against alternator cover while released. This seems a common issue since I've seen it on other bikes as well. I wonder what's the cause, e. g. what parts need replacing.

Hi, This certainly NOT a common problem, one of 2 things have likely happened either the k/s shaft tang has broken or the stop bolt has unscrewed.
