Very simple seat question

Hi,

Very basic question sorry

I have lots of parts missing on my 71 T500 and before I get started on rebuilding I'm wondering what secures the seat to the frame.

I see it hooks at two points at the back and hooks into a bush at the front, but what stops it sliding backwards?

Very simple I know , but I'm new to these bikes and probably not seeing something obvious.

Thanks

Phil

Two bolts in the back which holds the fender in place and clamps the seat in place.

Those rear seat clips face the tank so it does look like it could slide off the back but the front of the seat has a lip that faces the
back so the pressure is coming from opposing sides. I think. My bike didn't come with a seat either

It does make sense now.

My first thought was "where's the latch?"

I've been messing about with old Yamaha's for too long
