Suzuki 2 Strokes

Just wondering. It seems to me that the puller uses the studs to push against to lift the cylinder block. Do the screws just push on top of the studs? Seems like that could damage the stud's threads or even bend the studs(I have a '73 K) with the amount of force involved. Is there a way to center the pulling screws on top of the studs? Do you thread a nut on top of the stud to protect it from the driving screws? Considering the force I have been using to break the cylinder block free, (to no avail) it just seems like the puller could easily damage the cylinder studs.

Yes - as yet on the several I've successfully done I haven't noticed any damage to the studs themselves. Gunnar did a good overview of the various available options at this link: http://www.medial.com/suzuki/cyl-removal/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Just removed barrels myself in the last week with help from the guys on this forum. Check a number of posts in "repair forum". i have post (need help with removing barrels) if that helps cheers
