Sorry to hear about the breakdown, that's a bummer :(

When you say the left piston broke off in the cylinder, do you mean the rod has snapped, or the wrist pin broke? Can you see oil in the two plastic lines to the left cylinder and main bearing on that side?

If it has snapped or damaged the rod, the motor will need a complete strip to rebuild the crank anyway. Even if the rod is intact, if it seized up that badly there could be debris in the cases & crank bearings anyway ...

Keep us posted.

Your issue may be some other reason, but on mine the gudgeon pin broke and destroyed the piston. I was very lucky and the con rod and bearings were still OK. The new gudgeon pins have a much thicker wall, so I would suggest you change all three when you have it apart just to be on the safe side.

Note that GT550 rods are really hard to find - keep your fingers crossed.

It was kinda my guess with the oil cause you can see on the crank theres no oil on it under the other cylinders there was a nice coat on top of it. the rods appears fine, and i got a new cylinder on the way. not seized up still rotates great
