carb butterfly question

Am assuming I need to use locktite for the two small screws that hold the throttle valve onto the shaft.

Is there a specific type of locktite that I should use because its exposed to fuel/air mixture?

What butterfly valve are you working on? Actually you could used Permatex #2 as a thread locker. It will not take too much effort at removal time and is not 'permanent' like Permatex #1 Used it on several Lawnboy connecting rod bigends with no problems. It uses loose needle bearings on a two piece rod. It is also designed to work in gasoline environments.

Thanks for the info.

Am working on the throttle valve for 4 stroke Suzuki carbs. See part # 33 on: http://www.suzukipartshouse.com/home.as ... 5602690011
