cleaning case sealant

Doing the crank seals on my TC250. The last time it was apart. I used Hondabond 4 on the cases. I'm cleaning everything up for reassembly. What's a good way to clean the mating surfaces of the small amount of Hondabond left? Razorblade doesn't work very well because the sealer isn't hard enough to scrape off. Anyone ever try gasket remover spray? Want to be careful and not scratch the surface. Thanks

I just use lacquer/cellulose thinners (acetone) and a rag. 8)

+1 to the acetone reply. Seems like acetone will take off almost anything!! A great de-greaser and paint remover (some types) as well.... I get it by the gallon at WalMart, I think around $15 ? They also sell a quart I think.
